The song that is already on your web site is "Nach Sevilla" The alternate lyrics that I want to send you that are sung to this same melody were written by August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben on Oct. 10, 1845 to commemorate the emmigration of Pastor Adolf Fuchs and his family from Germany to Texas. |
The title that Hoffmann von Fallersleben (who also wrote the lyrics used in the German national anthem) gave this anthem was "Der Stern von Texas". This anthem by Hoffmann von Fallersleben is still sung here in Texas to the melody of "Nach Sevilla" as heard in your audio link.
