Two little dickey-birds

Melody -

Two little dickey-birds
Sat upon a hill,
One named Jack,
The other named Jill.
Fly away, Jack;
Fly away, Jill;
Come again, Jack;
Come again, Jill.
  Two little dicky birds,
Sitting on a wall;
One named Peter,
The other named Paul.
Fly away, Peter!
Fly away, Paul!
Come back, Peter!
Come back, Paul!

Infant amusement: A piece of stamp paper is stuck on to each index finger, one being dubbed 'Peter', the other 'Paul'. The two fingers are placed at the edge of a table. On the command 'fly away' the appropriate hand is whipped over the shoulder and instantly returned with the middle finger substituted for the index so that the stamp paper is concealed. On the command 'come back' the reverse operation takes place, and the stamp paper reappears.
